6 months Contract Drafter $5.5K (EAA)

Job Responsibilities: • Prepare and revise technical drawings using AutoCAD and/or other drafting software. • Produce 2D drawings, layout plans, general arrangement drawings, detailed drawings, fabrication drawings, installation drawings, and as-built drawings. • Support railway-related projects involving mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, or building services drawings, depending on project scope. • Prepare drawings for equipment layout, trackside installation, cable routing, support structures, panels, brackets, enclosures, and other railway system components. • Assist engineers in converting design sketches, mark-ups, specifications, and site information into proper technical drawings. • Update drawings based on comments from engineers, consultants, contractors, clients, or site teams. • Ensure all drawings are accurate, properly labelled, numbered, revised, and maintained in accordance with project document control procedures. • Coordinate with project, production, site, and quality teams to clarify drawing details and technical requirements. • Support preparation of material take-off, drawing registers, submission documents, and technical documentation where required. • Assist in checking drawings for dimensional accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements. • Maintain proper softcopy and hardcopy filing of drawings and related documents. • Support project handover documentation, including compilation of as-built drawings and final drawing records. • Perform other drafting or project support duties as assigned. Job Requirements: • Diploma/Degree in any Engineering field. • Proficient in AutoCAD and technical drafting software. • Strong understanding of engineering and construction drawings. • Good attention to detail and accuracy in preparing drawings. • Able to work closely with engineers, contractors, and project teams.
