6723 - Assistant Contracts Manager

• Mon to Fri, from 8.30am to 5.15pm • Salary is Up to $7,000 + Variable Bonus [ No AWS ] • Work Location :  CHANGI BUSINESS PARK {Expo MRT} Job Duties: Assistant Contract Manager supports the Contracts Team in managing all contractual and commercial aspects of projects. The role ensures full contractual compliance, safeguards the company’s contractual rights, and assists in claims management, variation control, and contract administration. Job Requirements: • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Construction Management Or equivalent discipline. • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in Contract/Commercial Department within Main Contractor companies. Job Responsibilities: • Review and interpret contract documents, including terms and conditions. • Ensure contractual compliance and conformance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. • Analyze all contract provisions to identify risks, obligations, and rights. • Support the formulation, preparation, and negotiation of Variation claims, Progress claims, Extension of Time (EOT) claims, Counterclaims. • Establish and maintain an effective project variation control system. • Work closely with project teams to accurately prepare progress and variation submissions. • Provide contractual advice to Project Managers and site teams. • Support dispute avoidance and resolution strategies.Train, supervise, and guide junior contract staff and subordinates. • Support team members in contract administration and commercial negotiations.
