Job Summary: Our client is seeking an accounting professional with experience in a Shared Service environment who is strong in General Ledger (GL) activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial management. Job Responsibilities: • Maintain the company’s Fixed Assets Register, including coordinating the annual physical asset count to ensure all fixed assets are properly accounted for. • Support the accurate and timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts, including reporting to the local auditor and Headquarters in Japan. • Resolve intercompany discrepancies in a timely manner to support month-end closing and collaborate with relevant parties to prevent recurrence. • Support the collection and compilation of data and information for reporting and disclosure in the Statutory Audited Report. • Work closely with the local auditor, legal counsel, and relevant stakeholders to coordinate documentation for the annual accounts and ensure the Statutory Audited Report is prepared accurately and signed on time. • Support the review and updating of SOX documentation and checksheets to ensure compliance with established operational procedures and internal controls. • Support monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items. • Support the preparation and compilation of tax and audit schedules. • Support day-to-day accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL), to ensure timely month-end closing. • Support ad-hoc assignments or projects as required. Job Requirements • Degree or other professional qualification in Accountancy with minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant working experience. • Experience in General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions. • Exposure to statutory reporting and audit processes is preferred. • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint and PowerBI. • ERP Systems hands-on knowledge, preferably SAP. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. • High attention to details and data accuracy. • Hands-on and willing to support ad-hoc tasks. • Able to work with multiple stakeholders across departments. • Employment Type: 1-year Contract Location: Bedok Salary: Up to $3.8k/mth We regret only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
