Grace Orchard School caters to students who have been diagnosed with Mild Intellectual Disability (MID) and those with Mild Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The school is specifically for students ranging from 7-18 years old who have Intellectual Quotient (IQ) which falls within the range of 50-70. The school is a non-profit organisation under the Presbyterian Community Services. We are looking for a resilient and motivated person who can be part of our corporate team to make a difference in the special education landscape. Job Description Assistant Manager (ICT) reports directly to the Vice Principal (Administration). The Assistant Manager is to lead the Info Comms and Tech (ICT) team, consisting of two ICT Executive and interns (when present). You will lead the team to manage the school’s ICT and AV systems, School Management System(SMS), PDLP deployment, and teaching & learning (T&L) applications. Lead ICT staff, oversee operations, cybersecurity, projects, and ensure ICT solutions effectively support teaching, learning, and administration. Roles and Responsibilities: • Oversee ICT infrastructure, network, servers, end-user devices, AV systems, and daily ICT operations. • Manage, support, and improve School Management Systems, handle change requests, enhancements, and user support. • Oversee PDLP system deployment and adoption, coordinating with staff and vendors to resolve issues and continuously improve system performance for teaching and learning. • Manage and support teaching & learning (T&L) applications, ensuring smooth integration, adoption, and technical support for educators and students. • Lead ICT projects, evaluate new technologies, and ensure smooth deployment with minimal disruption. • Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures, backups, and disaster recovery plans. • Supervise ICT staff, provide guidance, training, and ensure service excellence. • Manage ICT vendors and stakeholders; ensure timely delivery of solutions and services. • Develop and maintain ICT policies, SOPs, and documentation. • Generate necessary reports as needed for MOE, (eg SLS usage reports and relevant reports) Skills: • Leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement. • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills. • Knowledge of cybersecurity and IT governance principles. Requirements: • Any relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Information Systems Management or suitable degrees will be considered. • At least 5 years ICT experience, preferably with some experience in the education sector. • Experience managing ICT projects, SMS, PDLP, T&L applications, infrastructure, and vendors. • Good organisation abilities, interpersonal and communications skills.
