About this role
The Associate Systems Engineer supports the Systems team by serving as the primary first line of contact for end-user IT support, while also contributing to day-to-day IT operations and selected infrastructure tasks. The role is responsible for helpdesk resolution, IT asset management, and assisting with routine infrastructure work such as VM provisioning and compliance/audit documentation. 1) Helpdesk and End-User Support: Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and general computer-related issues for staff, managing tickets from initiation to closure. 2) IT Asset & Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, software licenses, warranties, and maintenance schedules. Assist in procurement coordination and disposal. 3) Infrastructure Maintenance: Support installation and upkeep of IT hardware and peripherals including desktops, printers, and IP telephony systems. 4) VM Provisioning Support: Assist in the provisioning and basic configuration of virtual machines under guidance. 5) Audit & Compliance Support: Assist in preparing documentation and evidence collection for internal and external IT audits. Maintain up-to-date records to support compliance requirements. 6) System Availability Monitoring: Perform routine checks on system health and availability. Escalate anomalies to senior team members promptly. 7) IT Project Assistance: Provide support during ad-hoc IT project deployments, equipment refreshes, and scheduled maintenance activities. 8) Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
