About this role
Core Responsibilities • AWS Cloud Administrator oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources such as EC2 instances, S3 storage, RDS databases, and load balancers. Ensure these resources are scalable, highly available, and cost-efficient to meet organizational needs • Implement security measures including Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, security groups, and firewalls to protect cloud resources and enforce the principle of least rivilege and monitor for potential security threats • Design and manage networking within AWS, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, route tables, and VPN connections to ensures secure and efficient communication between cloud resources and on-premises systems • Monitor cloud resources using AWS CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, and other monitoring tools to track performance, set alarms, and troubleshoot issues to optimize resource usage to control costs and maintain system reliability • Implement backup strategies and disaster recovery plans using AWS Backup and other services to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures • Work closely with IT teams, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate cloud services with existing systems, support application deployment, and provide technical guidance on AWS best practices Skills and Knowledge Required • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, and VPCs • Understanding of cloud architecture, deployment, and operations • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards • Ability to automate tasks using scripting and AWS automation tools • Strong problem-solving, monitoring, and troubleshooting skills
