This role offers hands-on exposure to how enterprise sales teams generate leads, manage pipelines, track opportunities, and support strategic growth initiatives in a fast-growing ESG technology company. The intern will work closely with the Business Development team to execute outreach, maintain critical sales data, monitor pipeline activity, support presales coordination, and assist in tracking leads and opportunities. Through this role, the candidate will gain practical experience in sales development, processes, data-driven decision-making, and the operational foundations that drive business growth. Job Responsibilities • Outreach activities: Conduct market research to identify potential prospects and target accounts across key markets. Support outreach initiatives including email campaigns, LinkedIn engagement, and lead qualification to help generate new business opportunities for the sales team. • CRM updates: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, accounts, and activities in the CRM system. • Pipeline tracking: Monitor and track the sales pipeline to ensure high visibility and alignment across the sales team. • Forecasting: Assist the sales team in gathering data and tracking performance metrics for accurate sales forecasting. • RFP tracking: Monitor, organize, and track Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to support timely and high-quality submissions. • Presales coordination: Coordinate presales activities, ensuring smooth communication and alignment between internal teams and the sales team. • Internal reporting: Generate, compile, and maintain internal sales reports to support data-driven decision-making and strategy. Ideal Candidate • Highly proactive, organized, and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability in completing tasks and achieving outcomes. • Detail-oriented and process-driven, with strong analytical thinking and the ability to manage multiple activities in a structured manner. • Curious about business operations, sustainability, and technology-driven solutions, with a strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. • Ambitious and growth-oriented, with a genuine interest in developing foundational skills in sales operations, business development, and commercial strategy. • Comfortable using digital tools and open to leveraging AI tools to improve productivity, support research, and streamline operational processes. Requirements • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline. • Highly organised, disciplined, and able to manage multiple administrative initiatives simultaneously. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. • Familiarity with CRM systems, data entry, and related sales or operations tools is a strong advantage. • Proficient in using spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) for reporting and tracking. Nice to have • Prior internship experience or involvement in student organizations related to business development, marketing, or operations. • Familiarity with LinkedIn, sales outreach tools, or digital research methods for identifying potential prospects and market opportunities. • Interest in sustainability, ESG, or climate-related topics, and curiosity about how technology platforms help companies manage and report sustainability data.
