About this role
Job Summary Lead community outreach and secretariat functions to strengthen partnerships with religious groups and grassroots organizations, supporting social cohesion and national security through targeted programs and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities • Engage proactively with diverse religious groups, grassroots organizations, and community stakeholders to strengthen communication and partnerships. • Develop and implement targeted initiatives that address the unique needs of religious and community-based organizations. • Collaborate with government agencies, private entities, and community stakeholders to enhance national social cohesion. • Coordinate secretariat duties including organizing dialogues, learning journeys, and managing administrative operations. • Manage participation and support for major national events. • Evaluate grant applications and oversee the disbursement process for government initiatives. • Monitor and evaluate engagement strategies to improve community impact continuously. • Manage daily operations such as publicity, microsite content, database management, training statistics tracking, and feedback analysis and reporting. • Support national security objectives by coordinating the religious sector’s resilience during crises. • Develop, deploy, and manage IT tools and systems to efficiently track and follow up on stakeholder engagements. • Provide secondary support for capability development initiatives in inter-religious relations, social cohesion, and crisis preparedness. Required competencies and certifications • Willingness and ability to work evenings, weekends, and after-office hours to engage with community leaders. (Standby allowances provided) Preferred competencies and qualifications • Minimum three (3) years of experience working with community groups, preferably with NGOs, VWOs, or Government Agencies. • Excellent written and spoken English. • Proficiency in Mother Tongue languages (Malay, Mandarin, or Tamil) or local dialects to support effective ground engagement. • Strong financial acumen related to data and grant processes. • High literacy in Microsoft Office applications and ability to leverage IT tools for tracking purposes. • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with volunteers, religious leaders, and diverse stakeholders. • High initiative, responsibility, and a positive, continuous-learning attitude. • Strong multitasking skills and resilience to work under tight schedules in a dynamic environment.
