About the Role We are seeking a capable IT professional to take charge of day-to-day IT operations and staff support, while also working across IT governance, policy, and digital and AI initiatives. This contract role is suited for someone with several years of IT experience, who is comfortable being hands-on while taking on a broader role in strengthening how IT is managed, governed, and improved across the organisation. You will work alongside our outsourced IT service provider in a lean, fast-moving organisation, with opportunities to develop and strengthen these areas over time. Job Duties & Responsibilities 1. IT Operations & End-User Support • Provide day-to-day IT support to staff, including AV setup for meetings, events and board meetings. Oversee onboarding and offboarding of IT accounts and equipment, and manage the IT asset inventory, including phased replacement of ageing devices. 2. Vendor & Project Management • Manage the outsourced IT service provider and hold them to agreed service standards, and coordinate contract renewals. Manage IT projects through to delivery. Oversee the security of IT infrastructure and coordinate responses to IT security incidents. Routine and overflow technical support is delivered through the service provider, with this role providing oversight and escalation. 3. IT Governance & Policy • Maintain Business China's IT governance framework and IT policies. Manage data protection and retention practices in line with Personal Protection Data Act (PDPA), and support internal and external IT-related audits. Develop and improve IT processes and policies as the organisation's needs evolve. 4. Digital & AI Enablement • Identify opportunities to improve productivity through better use of digital tools, including AI. Lead small-scale pilots, including AI use cases, and help ready the organisation's systems and data for new tools. Support staff in adopting these tools in their work. 5. Business Partnering • Engage departments to understand their needs and translate these into practical IT solutions. Serve as the in-house point of contact between staff and the outsourced service provider(s). Qualifications and Requirements 1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. However, this is not a must. 2. Minimally 3 –5 years of experience in similar roles 3. Strong grasp of IT security frameworks, infrastructure components, and data protection regulations. Familiarity with Personal Protection Data Act (PDPA) is advantageous, but not a must. 4. Experience working with outsourced IT vendors and managing IT service contracts 5. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including administration and productivity tools 6. Comfort exploring and applying new digital and AI tools in a workplace setting 7. Knowledge of IT asset management and inventory tracking 8. Excellent troubleshooting abilities and AV setup skills 9. Independent, takes initiative, and effective communication skills 10. Singapore Citizens and PRs are strongly encouraged to apply.
