About Us Blue Skies Cafe-Bar is a cozy, community-focused spot in the heart of Little India / Jalan Besar. We serve a mix of all-day brunch, comforting mains like Mum’s Nasi Lemak, fresh bakes, sharing plates, and specialty coffee & drinks. We’re looking for a passionate Cook to join our team and help us bring great food and warm hospitality to our guests. Responsibilities • Prepare and cook dishes according to cafe recipes and standards (brunch, mains, pastas, sharing plates, desserts). • Assist in menu preparation, including specials and seasonal items. • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet the cafe’s standards. • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times. • Follow food safety, hygiene, and storage standards. • Work with the team to manage prep, mise en place, and service flow. • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, and keeping track of stock. • Contribute ideas for improving dishes and kitchen efficiency. Requirements • At least 1–2 years of experience in a cafe, restaurant, or similar kitchen environment. • Basic knowledge of Western and Asian cooking techniques (training will be provided). • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Good time management and multitasking skills. • Passion for food, creativity, and a positive attitude. • Availability to work on weekends and public holidays (rotational shifts).
