Location: Singapore (Islandwide data centers – placement will be arranged as close to your residence as possible) Contract Duration: 24 or 36 months (with automatic renewal) About the Role: We are hiring on behalf of a leading global technology company with data centers strategically located across Singapore. This is a long-term opportunity for motivated individuals seeking hands-on experience in a large-scale, high-availability data center environment. Fresh graduates with relevant knowledge are welcome to apply. Key Responsibilities: • Install, move, add, and change IT hardware including servers, network, and storage equipment • Perform decommissioning of IT equipment and manage media disposal (e.g. HDD/SSD destruction) • Carry out patch cable connections/disconnections • Conduct hardware break-fix support, including replacement of components like HDD, memory, SFP modules, and motherboards • Regularly inspect data center facilities and equipment for operational integrity • Provide on-site support during maintenance and scheduled change activities • Troubleshoot IT and network hardware issues • Manage inventory for spares, RMA, and tools • Coordinate and supervise third-party vendors • Handle data center access requests • Support POP site operations and be on standby when required • Provide timely reporting on tasks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives • Participate in after-hours support and shift duties when necessary • Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: • Minimum of 1 year of experience in data center operations OR recent graduates with relevant knowledge are encouraged to apply • Basic understanding of structured cabling and patching • Hands-on experience with hardware support, troubleshooting, and break-fix • Ability to respond and escalate issues promptly • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Willingness to work shifts and be on-call as needed; shift allowance of $250/month will be provided for roles requiring shift work Nice-to-Have (Advantageous Skills): • Understanding of space, power, and cooling management in data centers • Familiarity with incident/change management processes • Certifications such as CDCP, ITIL, Server+, Linux+, Network+, A+, CCNA Why Join Us? • Exposure to enterprise-level IT infrastructure • Opportunities for skill development in critical environments • Friendly, collaborative team culture • Renewable contract with potential for long-term career development About Us: Greenlane is a Singapore-based recruiting firm specializing in banking, tech, trading, and other professional sectors.
