DevOps Engineer

About the Role We are partnering with a fast-growing, well-funded technology company in the digital assets and blockchain space to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer. Position Summary As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and scaling a microservices-based, containerised hybrid infrastructure across cloud (AWS) and on-prem environments. You will also be involved in integrating AI-driven automation and operational efficiencies into engineering workflows. Key Responsibilities • Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-prem environments • Oversee on-prem infrastructure including servers, firewalls (e.g. Fortigate), and network equipment (e.g. Cisco switches) • Enhance system observability through monitoring, tracing, and service mesh optimisation • Design and implement AI-driven workflows and automation pipelines • Troubleshoot and resolve issues using an automation-first mindset • Drive DevOps best practices across both tooling and engineering culture • Implement and maintain GitOps-based deployment models • Ensure systems are designed with scalability, security, and reliability in mind • Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines supporting multiple deployment strategies • Support and scale blockchain infrastructure to enable new integrations and growth Requirements • Deep understanding of Kubernetes and its ecosystem: secret & cert management, network engine, security engine, ingress, CSI, etc. • Experience in automating tasks with AI and scripts • Experience in AWS, and on-premise infrastructure management • Experience in hardware management: firewalls, switches, bare metal, data center network • Knowledge of Docker and multi-stage/multi-architecture builds, registries, and best image practices • Experience in one of the monitoring systems (Prometheus stack, Influx stack, Datadog, New Relic etc.), • Experience with GitOps development workflow (Argocd, etc.) and Infrastructure-as-Code approach (Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible) • 5+ years of experience and deep knowledge of - Linux/Unix Server System Administration, Network Administration, infrastructure management and maintenance experience • Understanding and capabilities to manage, monitor, and optimize network traffic: TCP and UDP; comfortable diagnosing problems on the wire • Diploma/Degree in Information Technology or related disciplines • Experience and fundamental knowledge of blockchain is a big plus What We’re Looking For Beyond technical expertise, we value engineers who are: • Curious – passionate about emerging technologies, especially AI and automation • Autonomous – self-driven and proactive in problem-solving • Pragmatic – able to balance ideal solutions with practical constraints • Transparent – open and communicative, especially when identifying risks • Growth-oriented – committed to continuous learning and mentoring others Additional Information • Candidates who do not meet every requirement are still encouraged to apply • Seniority can be adjusted based on experience Why Apply?
