Director - Data Risk & Compliance 12 months contract, renewable based on project demand or performance. Singapore, Onsite We are seeking an experienced Senior Lead to drive and oversee compliance with BCBS 239, ensuring risk data aggregation, reporting, governance, and control frameworks meet regulatory expectations. This role will lead data risk and compliance initiatives across the organization, partnering with Risk, Finance, Technology, and Compliance teams to strengthen data governance, improve reporting capabilities, and support regulatory engagement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of BCBS 239-aligned frameworks covering data governance, risk data aggregation, reporting, and controls. • Define and maintain a data risk management framework, identifying and mitigating risks related to data quality, lineage, aggregation, and reporting. • Partner with Data Governance, Risk, Finance, and Technology teams to implement robust controls across critical risk data elements and ensure end-to-end lineage and traceability. • Oversee risk data aggregation and reporting capabilities to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and alignment with regulatory and business requirements. • Act as the BCBS 239 subject matter expert, supporting regulatory audits, remediation programs, stakeholder engagement, and data transformation initiatives. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS • 10+ years of experience in risk, data governance, regulatory compliance, or related disciplines within financial services. • Strong expertise in BCBS 239 principles, data risk management, data quality, lineage, and risk reporting frameworks. • Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders, regulators, audit teams, and lead complex cross-functional initiatives. • Knowledge of data architecture, lineage tools, data quality platforms, and governance methodologies. EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline. • Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, DCAM, or DAMA are advantageous.
