About this role
Key Responsibilities1. Daily Supervision & School Routine Support • Maintain a highly visible presence across school spaces (e.g., corridors, canteen) through systematic patrols to support student safety and positive behavior. • Respond promptly to emerging discipline cases during the school day. • Support the implementation of regular school routines and expectations, including grooming checks and late-coming monitoring. 2. Case Investigation & Disciplinary Actions • Conduct fair, objective, and thorough investigations into student discipline cases. • Support the execution and oversight of disciplinary actions such as detention, school service, in-house suspension, and behavioral monitoring. 3. Records Management & Data Analysis • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records of student discipline cases, interventions, and follow-up actions. • Monitor and analyze discipline data and behavioral trends to identify emerging concerns and propose preventive strategies. 4. Restorative Discipline & Parent Partnership • Guide students to reflect on their actions, take responsibility for their behavior, and facilitate restorative conversations to repair relationships. • Communicate professionally and sensitively with parents regarding student behavior, discipline cases, and follow-up actions. • Facilitate constructive, restorative conversations between students, parents, and the school when appropriate. Job RequirementsWork Experience • Mandatory: Former working experience in a uniformed service background (e.g., Singapore Police Force, Prison Service, or equivalent). • Preferred: Prior experience in youth-related case investigation and restorative work, such as behavioral support. Core Competencies & Attributes • Competent in case investigation, conflict management, and de-escalation techniques. • Possess a calm, firm, yet respectful approach when handling challenging student situations. • Demonstrate sound judgment, strict discretion, professionalism, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Strong alignment with care-based and restorative discipline models, showing deep respect for student dignity and confidentiality. Technical Skills • Comfortable utilizing daily workplace IT software, including emails, MS Word, data entry in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Google online collaborative tools. Working Hours & ScheduleThe personnel will be deployed based on the following estimated termly work hours (capped at approximately 1,518 hours across the contract period): • Mondays to Wednesdays & Fridays: 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM (Includes a 1-hour break; 6.5 working hours). • Thursdays: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM (Includes a 1-hour break; 8.5 working hours). • Rest Days: Services are not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted Public Holidays. • School Closures: Services are not required on Home-based Learning (HBL) days, School Vacation periods, and Scheduled School Holidays (e.g., Youth Day, day after National Day, Teachers' Day).
