LTD. is hiring for a Engineering Assistant, Final Assembly internship — a 12-month, on-site Engineering Hardware role based in CORPORATION ROAD, Singapore. It is an unpaid internship. It is open to university students, typically in Year 2–4. Applicants with experience in Preventive Maintenance, Automation Systems Maintenance, Ground Support Equipment Operations, Root Cause Analysis, and Test Automation are a strong fit.
About this role
This position reports to the Manufacturing Test Lead and will be trained to support manufacturing process, production and equipment. Learning Outcomes: Production and Equipment Support: • Assist in daily autonomous maintenance for Automated Glue and Thermal Paste Machine • Perform daily self-tests on Automate tester (ATE): • Assist in troubleshooting line issues related to fixtures, testers, equipment, and Automation Line. • Perform monthly maintenance on full Automation Line. • Assist with line change over to switch fixtures between different products. • Support daily operational issues in Final Assembly, including testers, assembly lines, and machines. • Conduct preventive maintenance on fixtures and calibration checks on torque drivers. Process and Automation Enhancement: • Assist in implementing improvements in Final Assembly manufacturing processes. • Support automation modifications and process enhancements. • Support equipment setup, safety buyoff, and operational readiness. • Assist in creating work instructions and process documentation. • Support corrective and preventive maintenance activities, including root cause analysis. • Participate in ECN meetings and updates on FA processes, label processes, and layout drawings. Labeling and Compliance Support: • Assist in label modifications related to FTPC/Table 2/SAP systems. • Support labels buy-off processes to ensure compliance with product and carton label requirements. • Support to raise and track SharePoint requests related to label and laser artwork issues. • Collaborate with the Global Label Team. Technical Skills and Competencies • Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline. • Proficient in equipment installation and machine troubleshooting. • Knowledge of C++, C#.NET and PLC programming will be an added advantage. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. • Excellent troubleshooting, analysis, and problem-solving skills. • Able to support night shift when needed.
