About this role
About Skyscanner Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 160 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily. Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all. Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here) About the role Hybrid This isn’t your average internship (promise). You’ll sit at the intersection of ESG, DEI, communications and community impact - helping bring meaningful initiatives to life across the business. From shaping internal storytelling to supporting standout events and internal campaigns, you’ll play a hands-on role in making sure our people feel informed, inspired and connected. You’ll also get exposure to research, partnerships and strategy work - basically, a bit of everything that makes ESG tick. If you’re curious, organised, and keen to make a genuine impact (with a side of Slack emojis), you’ll fit right in. What you'll be doing • Building engaging internal communications: Supporting a structured ESG/DEI comms calendar and creating content that's impactful • Creating scalable content: Designing Canva templates, blogs, vlogs and Slack updates that make complex topics feel simple and human • Supporting campaigns and events: Helping deliver key moments like Pride activations, workshops and external events from planning to wrap-up • Coordinating logistics like a pro: Managing event comms, materials and internal summaries - ideally with the help of AI and creating automations • Driving community and charity initiatives: Supporting volunteering days, connect programmes and internal engagement materials • Conducting research and insight gathering: Benchmarking ESG approaches and exploring new ideas across sustainability, accessibility and partnerships • Improving operational efficiency: Helping automate updates, streamline processes and keep multiple projects running smoothly About you • Curious and purpose-driven: You’re genuinely interested in ESG, DEI and making a positive impact • A strong communicator: written or verbal, you know how to land a message clearly and confidently • Organised and detail-oriented: You can juggle multiple tasks without dropping the ball (or the spreadsheet) • Proactive and hands-on: You don’t wait to be told - you spot what needs doing and get stuck in • Digitally savvy (or eager to learn): Comfortable with tools like Canva, Slack and Confluence - or ready to pick them up • Collaborative by nature: You enjoy working with different teams and building great relationships • Currently studying or recently graduated: In ESG, Sustainability, DEI, HR, Communications, English - or similar field. Recruitment Process: Want to join us? Submit your CV and answer a couple of quick application questions to get started. If your experience aligns with what we’re looking for, you’ll be invited to a virtual interview with the early careers team. Our final stage is an in-person Discovery Day, where you’ll take part in a group exercise, a discipline specific interview, and a culture conversation. It’s your chance to get a real feel for life at Skyscanner (and for us to get to know you, too). Applications will close on 15th April, but we may close them sooner due to high interest - so we’d encourage you to apply as early as possible. The Discovery Day will be held in our Edinburgh office on 29th April. Sound like your kind of adventure? Apply now and help us shape the future of travel.
