Attachment Description This position reports directly to the Director and works closely with operations team members, drivers, dispatch coordinators, and external vendors. The Fleet Management Manager plays a critical role in ensuring efficient daily fleet operations, vehicle optimization, and service delivery standards. The role focuses on strengthening fleet capabilities, improving delivery performance, and supporting scalable business growth through structured systems and data-driven decision-making. Specific Responsibilities 1.Oversee daily fleet operations, including vehicle deployment, route planning, and driver allocation to ensure timely and efficient delivery fulfilment. 2.Monitor vehicle utilisation, driver performance, and delivery KPIs, and implement improvements to enhance operational productivity and service standards. 3.Manage fleet maintenance schedules, servicing, and repair coordination to minimize downtime and ensure all vehicles remain operationally ready. 4.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including LTA regulations, safety standards, and proper documentation of fleet and driver records. 5.Analyse operational costs such as fuel consumption, maintenance, and manpower deployment, and implement cost-control measures to improve overall profitability. 6.Lead and manage drivers and logistics personnel, including performance tracking, incident management, conflict resolution, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Technical Skills and Competencies 1.Active participation in operational planning processes, including developing fleet deployment strategies, route optimisation plans, and performance improvement initiatives. 2.Learn how to engage and manage drivers, vendors, and internal stakeholders professionally to ensure smooth coordination and operational efficiency. 3.Gain hands-on experience with fleet management systems, GPS tracking tools, and logistics software for real-time monitoring, reporting, and data management. 4.Develop competency in fleet asset lifecycle management, including vehicle procurement evaluation, maintenance planning, and utilisation tracking. 5.Learn how to analyse operational data and cost components (fuel, servicing, manpower) to identify inefficiencies and implement optimisation strategies. 6.Acquire knowledge in regulatory compliance, safety management, audit processes, and risk mitigation to ensure full operational and legal adherence.
