Position: Freelance Private Swimming Coach (1-To-1) Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one swimming lessons tailored to each child’s skill level, learning pace, and goals. • Teach water safety, basic swimming techniques, and advanced strokes as appropriate for the child’s age and abilities. • Create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment that encourages confidence and enjoyment in the water. • Assess each student’s progress regularly and modify lesson plans to meet their evolving needs and skill development. • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with learning or special needs, ensuring inclusivity in every lesson. • Work closely with families to discuss progress, provide feedback, and offer guidance on how to practice swimming skills outside of lessons. • Ensure safety standards are maintained at all times during lessons, adhering to best practices for water safety and first aid. Requirements: • Certified swimming instructor, with recognised qualifications from organisations such as the Singapore Swimming Association (SSA), SwimSafer, or equivalent. • Valid First Aid and CPR certification is required. • Previous experience teaching swimming to children, particularly in a one-on-one setting. • Experience working with children with learning or special needs is a plus. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, encouraging, and safety-first approach to teaching. • Ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and individual needs. • A passion for teaching swimming and helping children develop their confidence and skills in the water.
