Availability Requirement: Candidates should be available to commit from August 2026 onwards. JOB PURPOSE As part of the Resource Development team, the Events & Partnerships Intern will assist with the planning and execution of fundraising and community engagement activities. This role provides hands-on experience in event management, donor engagement, and volunteer coordination, supporting the Singapore Red Cross in achieving its outreach and fundraising goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ● Assist in planning and coordinating fundraising events (e.g. Charity Golf, Gala, Grateful Hearts Day (World Red Cross Day) Community Roadshows, Donor/Volunteer Appreciation Events). ● Provide administrative and logistics support including event registration, preparation of materials, and vendor coordination. ● Support volunteer engagement, including liaising with volunteers for events and outreach activities. ● Assist in managing event resources such as donation boxes, merchandise, goodie bags, and marketing materials. ● Work with internal teams (Marketing, Donor Engagement, Volunteer Management) to ensure smooth event delivery. ● Represent Singapore Red Cross through public speaking opportunities, such as: ● Giving short presentations to schools and community groups ● Hosting or assisting emcees during events. ● Speaking on camera for social media or campaign videos ● Help with post-event tasks such as thank-you letters, feedback collation, and simple reporting. ● Any other matters as assigned by Head, Resource Development. LEARNING OUTCOMES The intern will gain exposure and practical skills in: ● Event planning and execution from start to end. ● Stakeholder and volunteer management in a nonprofit setting. ● Communication, project coordination, and time management. ● Understanding how fundraising supports humanitarian services. REQUIREMENTS ● Undergraduate/diploma student in Event Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field. ● Possess creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. ● Proficient in design software such as Canva, Illustrator, or Photoshop. ● Knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel ● Keen interest in events, partnerships, and humanitarian causes. ● Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. ● Proactive, responsible, and a good team player. ● Comfortable with public speaking and engaging diverse audiences.
