Job Summary: The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance andsupport for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software,and hardware. This role ensures smooth operation of IT services and quickresolution of technical problems to support business operations. Key Responsibilities: • Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, or in-person. • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity. • Maintain and update documentation of IT processes, systems, and troubleshooting steps. • Assist in setting up new user accounts, email, and access permissions. • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades of software and hardware. • Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff or vendors when necessary. • Monitor IT systems for performance, security, and potential issues. • Provide guidance and training to end-users on best practices and IT policies. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Nitec, Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Proven experience in IT support or helpdesk roles. • Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and/or Linux operating systems. • Familiarity with networking concepts (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN). • Knowledge of common business software (Microsoft Office, email clients, etc.). • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
