Successful candidate must be comfortable with rotation shifts and weekends as and when required. Responsibilities Database Migration& Implementation · Support migration of databases from on-premise environments to Azure platforms. · Assist in database assessment, discovery, and migration planning activities. · Execute database migration tasks using appropriate methodologies and tools. · Perform data validation, integrity checks, and post-migration testing. · Support schema conversion, data transformation, and validation processes · Troubleshoot migration-related issues and ensure data integrity Database Administration& Operations · Administer and maintain Microsoft SQLServer and MySQL databases. · Perform database provisioning, configuration, and patching activities. · Manage backup and recovery processes ensuring data integrity and availability. · Monitor database performance and perform tuning and optimization. · Support high availability and disaster recovery configurations. Technical Support & Incident Management · Resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLA timelines under general supervision. · Proactively monitor database environments to detect and resolve issues early. · Investigate, analyse, and troubleshoot database-related incidents. · Maintain accurate and timely updates in ticketing systems with resolution details. · Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or Technical Leads where required. Service Delivery & Process Compliance · Ensure adherence to ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management. · Support, track, and document change implementation activities. · Contribute to continuous service improvement and operational optimization. · Participate in disaster recovery testing and operational readiness activities. Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing · Work closely with migration teams, application owners, and infrastructure engineers. · Share knowledge, document solutions, and contribute to knowledge base improvements. · Support junior engineers and collaborate across cross-functional teams. Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements · Degree in IT or related discipline · 3–5 years of experience in relational database administration. · Hands-on experience with: - Microsoft SQL Server administration - MySQL administration - Database migration methodologies - Backup and recovery strategies - Performance tuning and optimization - MSSQL & MYSQL / Azure DBs - Strong experience in database migration projects - Hands-on expertise with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar databases - Experience with cloud migration and modernization initiatives is preferred - Strong SQL, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills - Familiarity with ETL/data migration tools and scripting - Good understanding of backup, recovery, HA/DR concepts · Preferred certifications: - Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate - Microsoft SQL Server certifications - MySQL certifications · Other cloud database or infrastructure certifications are advantageous Interested applicants, please email your resume to Karin Chan Wei Kien Email: karinchan@recruitexpress.com.sg CEI Reg No: R1104584 Recruit Express Pte Ltd UEN: 199601303W EA Licence No: 99C4599
