Management Trainee (Retail Operations / Shop Manager Track)About the RoleWe are looking for a driven and hands-on Management Trainee to join our retail operations team. This role is designed to groom you into a Shop Manager, providing exposure across store operations, team management, sales performance, and retail strategy. Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations & Team Management • Support the daily operations of retail stores and assist in managing Store Assistants • Ensure smooth store operations, including customer service standards and store compliance • Operate and oversee the POS system and retail transactions Sales & Performance Management • Monitor store productivity through weekly and monthly sales reports • Analyse performance and identify opportunities to improve sales and profitability • Support seasonal and annual budgeting for stores Inventory & Merchandising • Manage and optimise inventory levels to ensure product availability and minimise losses • Ensure proper execution of visual merchandising and display standards • Monitor and support stock clearance and promotional activities Marketing & Mall Coordination • Liaise with shopping malls and partners on campaigns, promotions, and events • Ensure timely and accurate implementation of all store promotions Training & Staff Development • Assist in training and coaching retail staff to improve performance and service standards • Support performance reviews and staff development initiatives Compliance & Administration • Conduct store audits (operations, HR, and administration) and ensure compliance with company standards • Identify gaps and work with management to implement improvements Other Duties • Support ad-hoc operational tasks and projects as assigned What We’re Looking For• Diploma/Degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) • Strong interest in retail operations and people management • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Proactive, hands-on, and willing to learn • Able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays Why Join Us• Structured career progression to Shop Manager role • Hands-on training and mentorship • Exposure to multi-store retail operations • Dynamic and fast-paced environment
