STAR SHIPCARE PTE. LTD. is hiring for a Marine Service Trainee Technician internship — a 6-month, on-site Human Resources role based in TUAS VIEW PLACE, Singapore. It is an unpaid internship. About this role
Key Responsibilities: • Focus on performing inspection, calibration, survey and servicing of the equipment onboard ships. • Report defects/poor conditions of equipments, resolving onboard malfunctions, rectification of safety systems, repairs and supply where applicable • Proper preparation and execution of work assigned, prompt liaison with vessel agencies, and ensure performance are met at all times • Generate service reports, Job Delivery Notes, and other relevant documents • Assist our sales department with technical issues • Arrange delivery and supply, loading and offlanding of ship equipment, tools or spares Our main business service scope includes following: • Fire Fighting Equipment annual service and inspection • Lifeboat, rescue boat, davit and release gear inspection and servicing • ODME/OWS/Fixed Gas Detection or Sampling System/UTI/Portable multi-gas detector/pressure gauge/temperature gauge annual calibration and other automation services • Sample collection for Drug and Alcohol Test, Fresh water or drink water analysis • Cargo crane/Provision crane/Accommodation ladder/Pilot ladder load test • Flexible cargo hoses, piping lines pressure test • Various ship flag/class survey, certification, inspections Company Website: www.starshipcare.sg Requirements: • Willingness to learn new skills and knowledge if no prior experience • O-Level/NITEC in relevant fields and above • Experience as a marine technician /engineer or similar role in a Marine background is a plus • Posession of Class 3 license with lorry driving experience is a plus • Meticulous & methodical approach to service jobs and reports generation • Self-driven attitude to find solutions to problems • A team player and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers Interested candidates please send your CV (with photo) to our HR Head: Ms Lynda Lin and Chin Hui Ping.
