Position Overview As the Marketing & Communications Director for APAC, you will lead the region’s integrated marketing, branding, communications, and commercial marketing agenda across Caldic’s diversified B2B distribution businesses, including Food, Pharma, Personal & Home Care, and Industrial Solutions. This is a regional leadership role responsible for building a high-performing APAC marketing and communications function that strengthens Caldic’s market position, accelerates commercial growth, enhances customer engagement, and reinforces the company’s reputation as a leading specialty ingredients and solutions distribution partner. You will oversee a regional team comprising segment marketing leaders, branding & communications specialists, and creative resources, ensuring strong alignment between strategic marketing priorities, customer engagement initiatives, and commercial objectives across multiple APAC markets. The role requires a commercially driven and strategically minded leader who understands the complexities of B2B distribution ecosystems — balancing principal relationships, technical solution marketing, demand generation, corporate reputation, and customer-centric storytelling across highly diverse markets and industries. You will work closely with regional leadership, commercial teams, country organizations, global marketing, product management, innovation teams, and external partners to deliver impactful integrated marketing strategies that support long-term growth and transformation initiatives across APAC. Key Responsibilities 1. Regional Marketing & Commercial Leadership • Lead the overall APAC marketing and communications strategy across all business segments and countries. • Drive strategic alignment between marketing initiatives and commercial growth priorities across Food, Pharma, Personal & Home Care, and Industrial Solutions businesses. • Partner with commercial and technical leadership teams to strengthen Caldic’s value proposition as a specialty ingredients and solutions distribution partner. • Oversee development of integrated go-to-market strategies, customer engagement programs, and demand generation initiatives that support sales growth and market expansion. • Ensure consistent execution of commercially focused marketing programs across all APAC markets and business segments. 2. Leadership & Team Management • Lead, mentor, and develop the APAC marketing and communications organization, including: • Regional Marketing Managers across business segments • Branding & Communications leadership • Content & Design resources • External agencies and creative partners • Foster a collaborative, high-performance marketing culture across regional and country teams. • Establish clear governance, workflows, brand standards, and performance expectations across the regional marketing function. • Build scalable marketing capabilities, processes, and operational excellence across APAC. 3. Brand, Communications & Reputation Management • Lead APAC brand strategy and corporate communications in alignment with global direction and regional business priorities. • Serve as the senior regional custodian for brand governance, messaging consistency, and reputation management. • Oversee executive communications, leadership positioning, media relations, internal communications, and stakeholder engagement strategies. • Drive thought leadership initiatives that position Caldic as an innovative, customer-centric, and sustainability-focused market leader. • Provide strategic counsel to leadership during transformation initiatives, crisis situations, organizational change, and M&A integration activities. 4. B2B Demand Generation & Customer Engagement • Lead integrated B2B marketing campaigns that support customer acquisition, lead generation, customer retention, and commercial growth. • Ensure segment marketing strategies effectively address complex B2B buying journeys across technical and formulation-driven industries. • Strengthen customer engagement through digital marketing, trade shows, innovation showcases, webinars, technical seminars, and thought leadership platforms. • Oversee the development of sales enablement tools including brochures, technical content, presentations, case studies, videos, and customer success stories. • Drive data-driven marketing approaches leveraging CRM systems, analytics, marketing automation, and digital engagement tools. 5. Digital, Content & Creative Strategy • Oversee regional content strategy, social media leadership, and digital brand engagement across APAC. • Ensure high-quality, customer-centric content development aligned with brand standards and commercial objectives. • Guide creative storytelling across internal and external platforms, including digital campaigns, leadership communications, employee engagement, and customer marketing. • Drive innovation in multimedia, video, and digital engagement formats to strengthen brand visibility and audience engagement. • Champion modern B2B marketing capabilities, including AI-enabled marketing tools, SEO optimization, analytics, and marketing automation. 6. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner closely with regional sales, technical, regulatory, supply chain, HR, and country leadership teams to align marketing priorities with business needs. • Collaborate with global marketing and product management teams to localize and activate regional campaigns effectively. • Build strong relationships with principals, suppliers, industry associations, media, customers, and external stakeholders across APAC. • Support regional leadership forums, customer innovation days, exhibitions, and employee engagement initiatives. 7. Performance Management & Operational Excellence • Establish regional marketing KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to measure campaign effectiveness and business impact. • Oversee APAC marketing budgets and resource allocation to maximize ROI and operational efficiency. • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer insights, and evolving industry dynamics to continuously refine marketing strategies. • Drive continuous improvement across marketing operations, customer engagement, and communications effectiveness. Key Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related discipline. • 15+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, corporate communications, or commercial marketing leadership roles. • Strong regional APAC experience within specialty chemicals, ingredients distribution, industrial solutions, life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, or related B2B sectors. • Proven experience leading regional marketing teams within complex matrix organizations. • Deep understanding of B2B distribution business models, including: • Principal and supplier engagement • Technical and solution-based selling • Multi-market customer engagement • Commercial enablement • Demand generation • Trade marketing and industry engagement • Strong expertise in: • Strategic Marketing Leadership • Brand & Reputation Management • Corporate Communications • Demand Generation • Executive Communications • Digital Marketing & Content Strategy • Trade Show & Event Marketing • Stakeholder Engagement • Marketing Operations & Analytics • Change & Crisis Communications • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing regional teams. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive influencing skills. • Experience managing agencies, budgets, and cross-functional regional initiatives.
