Job Description: • Responsible for the end-to-end analysis, design, and delivery of the Murex MX.3 Front Office platform within a corporate banking transformation programme. • The role is embedded within a programme undertaking a strategic upgrade of its MX.3 platform — encompassing platform version uplift, new module onboarding (e.g. EQA, OSP Excess), and the implementation of comprehensive reconciliation, automation, and governance frameworks. • The incumbent will act as the primary bridge between Front Office business stakeholders and the Murex technical delivery team, owning requirement analysis, functional design, pricing and booking configuration, and STP solution design across all relevant asset classes. • The role demands deep hands-on MX.3 expertise combined with strong consulting and client engagement capability Requirement Analysis & Design: • Lead requirement analysis in the Front Office space across multiple asset classes including FX, Money Markets (MM), Interest Rate Derivatives (IRD), Equity Derivatives (EQD), Credit Derivatives, Commodities, and Fixed Income products. • Conduct structured workshops with Front Office users, traders, structurers, and sales stakeholders to capture business needs, system requirements, and future-state workflow expectations. • Perform initial analysis of existing production data, trade populations, and existing test case suites to establish baseline and identify gaps relative to the target MX.3 configuration. • Translate business requirements into detailed Functional Design Documents (FDDs), functional specifications, and configuration blueprints aligned with the MX.3 FO module capabilities. Platform Delivery & Configuration: • Work closely with Front Office business to design and build pricing models, instrument configurations, and booking capabilities within MX.3. • Participate with internal business partners on cross-functional projects to provide Straight-Through Processing (STP) solutions for pricing, distribution, and trade execution workflows. • Deliver and support enhancements on the Murex Global Markets platform (MX.3 FO module), managing functional delivery quality and ensuring smooth implementation and deployment of deliverables. • Support Murex platform upgrade activities including report development, reconciliation framework design, and regression analysis related to version migration. • Oversee system configuration, integration touchpoints, and data migration activities associated with the Front Office workstream. Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory: • Act as a trusted advisor to both business and IT stakeholders, assisting in the definition and delivery of high-quality FO solutions within the MX.3 platform. • Communicate design principles, standards, vision, and roadmap decisions to stakeholders proactively, addressing queries and concerns raised across business and technology forums. • Interact with stakeholders to develop practical domain roadmaps that advance the enterprise towards the target state, balancing business, technical, and delivery constraints. • Be responsible for understanding business needs, identifying viable business solutions, and articulating the pros and cons of technical solution options to decision-makers. • Build and maintain effective relationships with Front Office users, programme managers, and Murex vendor teams throughout the engagement lifecycle. Testing & Quality Assurance: • Perform various levels of functional testing for assigned deliverables, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). • Contribute to and participate in formal release cycles, ensuring functional acceptance criteria are met prior to production deployment. • Assist in resolving issues across Front Office, P&L, Market Data, and trade booking domains raised during testing or post-deployment production support phases. Requirements: • 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Front Office Business Analyst, System Analyst, or Functional Consultant on Murex MX.3 programmes within corporate or investment banking. • Mandatory hands-on expertise in the Murex MX.3 Front Office module — including trade capture configuration, pricing model setup, workflow design, and instrument setup across multiple asset classes. • Very strong exposure to all major asset classes: FX Spot/Forward/Options, Money Markets, Interest Rate Derivatives (IRS, CCS), Equity Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Commodities, and Fixed Income. • Strong understanding of the full trade lifecycle across Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office tiers within a capital markets context. • Proven experience gathering, documenting, and validating functional requirements and writing formal specifications (BRDs, FDDs, FSDs) for MX.3 FO scope. • Hands-on experience as a System Analyst in a Product Control function is a strong advantage. • Experience on Murex platform upgrade or migration projects (e.g. version 3.1.42.x to 3.1.6x.x) including reconciliation and report development is advantageous. • Experience managing Murex Environment Management (configuration promotion across DEV, SIT, UAT, PROD environments) is an advantage. • Proven track record of client servicing in a consulting or system integrator capacity, with the ability to understand customer needs and build effective working relationships. Education: • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Business Analytics, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Finance, or a related discipline. • Master's degree is an advantage but not mandatory where extensive industry experience is demonstrated. Technical & Domain Skills: • Deep functional knowledge of Murex MX.3 FO module components: instrument setup, pricing configuration, trade workflow, limit management, and P&L simulation. • Solid experience in gathering and writing requirements and functional specifications in a structured methodology (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid). • Strong time management and demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills in complex multi-workstream programme environments. • Understanding of Murex MX.3 data model, MxML messaging, and cross-module dependencies (FO → MO → BO → Finance) is beneficial.
