About this role
About the CompanyWe are a premium financial technology and enterprise systems transformation partner embedded within tier-1 corporate and investment banking institutions. By combining deep capital markets domain expertise, cutting-edge messaging architecture, and rigorous delivery governance, we orchestrate massive, high-performance software migrations that power global market networks. We focus on engineering mastery, integration modernization, and cultivating top-tier senior technical advisory talent in Singapore. About the JobWe are seeking a senior, elite-level Murex Integration Lead to serve as the core technical and functional leader for an enterprise-wide corporate banking transformation programme. In this highly critical position, you will take complete end-to-end architectural design, configuration, development, and delivery ownership of all Murex MX.3 integration touchpoints. You will lead a high-profile integration workstream spanning the entire platform lifecycle—from structural requirements gathering and interface mapping through to MxML workflow development, legacy system decommissioning (including MXG2000), system integration testing (SIT), and production cutover windows. Acting as the primary integration authority, you will manage a hybrid team of developers across onshore (Singapore) and offshore hubs, ensuring all incoming/outgoing data feeds connect seamlessly across front, middle, and back-office tiers. Key ResponsibilitiesIntegration Architecture & Solution Design • Architecture Governance: Define the target MX.3 integration architecture, detailing all inbound/outbound interface touchpoints, messaging patterns, enterprise data flows, and technical interface catalogues. • Requirements to Technical Specs: Partner with Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations leads to translate operational trading workflows into exhaustive Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and granular Technical Specifications. • Downstream System Alignment: Architect real-time and event-driven data pathways linking MX.3 with surrounding capital markets systems, including order management hubs, clearing houses, custodians, and regulatory trade repositories. Core MxML Workflow Engineering & Platform Configuration • MxML Engine Development: Design and develop robust import and export workflows utilizing MxML Exchange, covering real-time trade capture feeds, market data ingestion, and clearing/settlement instructions. • Transformation Logic: Author highly optimized, custom XSLT transformations, data mapping matrices, and data enrichment logic to convert disparate source files into native MX.3 structures. • Back Office Workflows: Configure and refine core Back Office processing layers within Murex, including Contract, Event, Deliverable, Confirmation, and Settlement workflows across complex OTC derivatives and cash instruments. • Packaged Interface Installation: Deploy and test packaged vendor interfaces including MDIT (Bloomberg/Refinitiv market data processing hubs), MarkitWire, BSMT, and MarkitCredit. SWIFT Migration & DevOps Automation • ISO 20022 Modernization: Spearhead the SWIFT ISO 20022 MX migration workstream within the Murex layer, converting legacy structures into modern messaging formats (pacs, camt, pain). • Batch & Script Automation: Develop automated processing, error monitoring, and data reconciliation scripts utilizing Python, Shell scripting, and SQL linked to batch schedulers. • CI/CD Pipeline Integrity: Manage release promotion and configuration management across environments (DEV, SIT, UAT, PROD) using Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, and Maven frameworks. • Middleware Connectivity: Bridge real-time message layers with enterprise middleware engines (Kafka, IBM MQ, Apache Camel) using Murex APIs and MXOpenConnect structures. Skills & Experience RequiredMust-Have Skills (Mandatory for Skills Matching) • Murex Integration Experience: Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Murex Integration Consultant, Developer, or Workstream Lead within corporate/investment banking landscapes. • MxML Exchange Mastery: Deep, practical expertise developing inbound/outbound workflows, writing custom tasks, and tuning performance inside the Murex MX.3 MxML platform. • Advanced Transformation Tooling: Expert command of data parsing languages and scripting tools: XML, XSLT, JSON, Python, and Unix Shell scripting. • SWIFT Messaging Infrastructure: Hands-on knowledge of legacy SWIFT MT message formats (MT300, MT320, MT202) mapped against modern ISO 20022 MX formatting rules. • Cross-Asset Domain Knowledge: Broad functional comprehension of the trade lifecycle spanning FX (Spot/Forward/Options), Money Markets, and Interest Rate Derivatives (IRS, CCS). Good-to-Have Skills (Preferred Differentiators) • Official Murex MTEK (Murex Technology Expert) certification in integration modules. • Experience with API management via MXOpenConnect or REST/SOAP micro-service hooks. • Prior experience driving platform version uplifts (e.g., migrating sub-versions of MX.3) and handling the configuration migration packages required for legacy decommissioning. Qualifications & Engagement Terms • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline. • Excellent client-facing consulting capabilities, with the communication clarity needed to address multi-disciplinary banking steering committees confidently. • Nationality Strategy: Open Nationality (Salary will commensurately align with the candidate's depth of specialized experience).
