Musical Theatre Instructor

Onestage Academy is a Singapore-based premier performing arts institution dedicated to comprehensive arts education and trainee. Our curriculum spans dance, vocals, acting, instruments, hosting/elocution, and theatrical creation. We are currently looking for a passionate and skilled Musical Theatre Instructor to join our faculty and help drive our unique dual-track educational model. Our Unique Educational Philosophy We operate on a groundbreaking: The Broadway Tradition: Authentic, classical training in musical theatre. The Modern Pop Model: Contemporary trainee/idol group training (Boy/Girl Group models). This synergy ensures our students inherit the depth of classic stage performance while embracing the energy of modern pop culture. Our curriculum is anchored in the Stella Adler Broadway Musical Theatre system. This ensures our instructors and students work within a globally recognized, professional framework. Key Responsibilities • Deliver high-quality musical theatre lessons (combining acting, singing, and movement) to students across different age groups. • Implement the Stella Adler curriculum while integrating modern pop/trainee performance elements. • Prepare students for internal assessments, public showcases, and professional auditions. • Collaborate with the creative team to develop original choreographies and theatrical pieces. Requirements • Professional Background: Degree in Musical Theatre, Drama, Vocal Performance, or a related field. • Triple Threat Ability: Strong proficiency in acting, singing, and dance. • Teaching Experience: Proven track record in arts education, specifically working with children, teenagers, or young adults. • Adaptability: A deep appreciation for both traditional Broadway techniques and modern pop/idol culture. • Communication: Excellent communication skills (English proficiency required; bilingualism is a plus given our diverse student base). • Spirit: A creative, energetic, and student-centric approach to teaching.
