NATIONAL SHOOTING TEAM – NATIONAL RIFLE COACH The Singapore Shooting Association (SSA) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Rifle Coach to join our High-Performance Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing Singapore’s national rifle athletes and enhancing their competitiveness on the regional and international stage. Key Responsibilities• Raise the performance standards of National Team rifle shooters to compete successfully at major regional and international competitions, including the Southeast Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and other international events. • Prepare and guide athletes towards qualification for the Olympic Games and the achievement of podium performances. • Design and implement individualized training programmes for assigned athletes, ensuring a structured and holistic approach to performance development and athlete progression. • Organize, coordinate, and oversee the training and competition preparation of athletes under his/her charge, maximizing each athlete’s potential. • Submit regular athlete performance and development reports to the Head Coach and the High-Performance Department. • Conduct coaching education programmes, workshops, and lectures as assigned by the Singapore Shooting Association. Qualifications and Requirements• Demonstrated technical expertise in 10m Air Rifle and 50m Rifle Three Positions events. • Possess an ISSF A License coaching qualification or an equivalent internationally recognized coaching certification. • Proven experience coaching athletes at the national team level. • Strong understanding of athlete development pathways, including talent identification, skill acquisition, and long-term athlete development. • Ability to adapt and work independently in a tropical environment. • Ability to tailor coaching methodologies and training programmes to Singapore’s sporting landscape and athlete needs. • Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills. • Proficient in spoken and written English.
