About this role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Network Engineer. You will ensure our local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) operate with maximum uptime, security, and efficiency. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing performance, troubleshooting issues, and scaling digital infrastructure to support business continuity. Key Responsibilities • Infrastructure Design & Build: Design, configure, and maintain network hardware and software configurations, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. • Performance Monitoring: Monitor network bandwidth, traffic, and system resources to ensure optimal data throughput. Proactively identify and resolve potential issues. • Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary escalation point (L2/L3 support) for complex network connectivity and hardware problems. • Security & Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain network security policies, ensuring systems are protected against unauthorized access and cyber threats. • Documentation & Capacity Planning: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, network diagrams, and disaster recovery plans. • Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party support and service providers for telecom lines, hardware procurement, and vendor-specific issue resolution. Qualifications & Skills • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, infrastructure administration, or related IT roles. • Networking Protocols: Deep understanding of TCP/IP and routing/switching technologies (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS). • Hardware Knowledge: Proven experience managing devices from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Fortinet. • Security: Strong understanding of access control models, firewalls, and network diagnostic/monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark). • Automation: Familiarity with scripting languages for network automation (e.g., Python, Perl) is highly preferred. • Certifications: Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are a strong plus.
