About Us Singapore Economics and Management Institute (SEMI) is a formally registered training institution in Singapore dedicated to delivering high-quality professional training and consultancy services. We operate under the philosophy of Asian Values and Global Perspectives, integrating global resources to equip individuals and organisations with future-ready skillsacross the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. We are currently developing and delivering a professional AI Design programme, equipping learners from diverse disciplines with practical, industry-relevant skills in AI-generated content (AIGC) design. To support our programme delivery, we are looking for passionate, hands-on, and experienced Part-Time Online Trainers to join our growing network of associate trainers. The Opportunity This is a flexible, fully online part-time role suited to working professionals or independent trainers who have strong hands-on expertise in AI Design tools and a genuine interest in training others. You will design,develop, and deliver training content in AI Design — covering both foundational concepts and advanced applied techniques — to learners from varied educational backgrounds. Each committed training engagement covers up to 40 contact hours (subject to review and adjustment based on programme needs). Trainers may be engaged on a recurring basis across multiple cohorts (up to 20) if proven to be effective and competent. What You Will Do • Deliver live online training sessions via video conferencing (e.g. Zoom), including real-time demonstrations of AI design tools via screen share. All online training sessions will be recorded by SEMI. Agree to physical training sessions if need arises. • Develop training slides, facilitator guides, student worksheets, mini-briefs, and assessment rubrics for assigned modules, following SEMI's programme framework (Contents will be copyrighted and belongs to both SEMI and trainer) • Design MCQ question banks and portfolio assessment briefs; mark and provide written feedback onstudent submissions within agreed turnaround times • Conduct live on-screen demonstrations of advanced AI tools — narrating parameters and decisions clearly for learner comprehension • Facilitate student Q&A, peer review sessions, and debrief discussions during and after training sessions • Monitor developments in the AI design landscape and recommend curriculum updates to keep content current and industry-relevant • Attend pre-cohort briefings to align on objectives, cohort context, and any curriculum updates • Submit all training materials for SEMI's review at least 14 days before the first scheduled session, and incorporate feedback within 7 days What We Are Looking For Training Experience • Minimum 2 to 4 years of professional training or teaching experience in a corporate, institutional, or freelance context • Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and engagingly to non-technical learners • Experience delivering training online (via Zoom or similar) is strongly preferred • Ability to develop structured training materials from a given programme outline • ACTA certification is a plus but not required — this programme operates under SEMI's own training quality framework AI Design Tool Proficiency — All trainers must be proficient in: • Generative AI image tools: AdobeFirefly, Ideogram 2.0, Canva AI (Magic Studio), Midjourney V6 • LLM creative co-pilots: Claude (Anthropic) and/or ChatGPT (OpenAI) — for prompt engineering and brief writing • Open-source image generation: Stable Diffusion (SDXL and/or Flux.1) via Automatic1111 WebUI —proficient and able to demonstrate live on screen • Structural control: ControlNet (OpenPose,depth map, canny edge, lineart, tile) — able to explain and demonstrate each mode • Style training: LoRA concepts — including loading LoRAs from Civitai, weight blending, and an understanding of custom LoRA training principles (Kohya SS) • Workflow automation: ComfyUI — able to build and narrate a complete node-based image generation pipeline live on screen • Cloud GPU platform: NanoBanana (or equivalent such as RunPod) — able to operate cloud GPU environment for live instructor demonstrations • AI video and audio: Kling AI, Pika 2.0, ElevenLabs, Suno AI, CapCut AI — proficient in producing and explaining each tool's output OtherRequirements • Excellent spoken and written English; ability to communicate clearly in an online classroom environment • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a computer capable of smooth screen-share demonstrations and stated AI-tools operations • A personal portfolio of AI design works is required as part of the application Preferred (Not Mandatory) • Professional background in design, digital marketing, e-commerce, creative industries, or a related field • Experience training learners from the Asia-Pacific region or cross-cultural contexts • Prior experience developing training content for a private training organisation or corporate L&D function • Familiarity with instructional design principles and adult learning frameworks What SEMI Offers Remuneration SGD 80–100 per training hour. Each committed training engagement covers up to 40 contact hours (subject to review and change). Material development fees are included in the remuneration package. Joint IP All training materials co-developed for this programme are jointly copyrighted between the trainer and SEMI. Terms are formalised in the engagement contract before work commences. Neither party may commercialise or sub-license materials without mutual written consent. Tools Provided SEMI provides access to required AI tools subscriptions for programme delivery and demonstration purposes at no additional cost to the trainer.
