Job Responsibilities The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the consultancy world built within the broader aviation environment. The role entails helping develop and lead a consultancy offering on multiple levels: • A team of professionals that brings complementary, world-class expertise in the key domains in which aviation businesses, their investors and their suppliers need external counsel; • A proprietary toolkit that attracts clients and ensures sustainable and meaningful impact from Alton engagements; and • A portfolio of strategic clients in the aviation sector with whom Alton develops trust-based, multi-year relationships and partnerships. • Develop new client relationships and support the management of existing relationships; • Lead client engagements with full support from Alton’s subject matter experts and professional associate teams; • Support targeted business development efforts and identify new business opportunities for the firm; and • Deliver keynote speeches and presentations at leading industry events. The key responsibilities of the Managing Director are as follows: • Develop and implement a clear businessdevelopment plan to substantially grow Alton’sofferings in the region over the next five years. • Establish clear revenue targetsand target accountswithin the contextof the plan. • Cultivate, develop, and manage relationshipswithin the aviation, supplier and investor communities. • Where possible, contribute to otherAlton engagements outside his/her main areas of expertise. • Ensure high-quality, high-impact executionof current and future engagements, ensuring that the team adheres to Alton’shigh standards and practices. • Develop industry-leadingproprietary approaches for certain types of engagements so as to differentiatethe firm and attract clients. • Ensure strong cross-practice collaboration within the firm so as to ensure that clients benefit from the full expertiseresident within the firm. • Develop and promote intellectual property that helpsdifferentiate the firm. • Attend, present and serve on panels at leading industryconferences and events,raising the profile of Alton to the right audiences. • Represent Alton externally, servingas one of the ‘ambassadors” for the firm. Qualifications and Skills • A minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience, with much of the time in senior leadership and consulting roles. • A strong track record in serving the aviation industry. • Has ideally served a broad section of the global aviation industry across various business models. • Relative to the personal practice or primary functional depth of the successful candidate, Alton is flexible, with the expectation that the successful candidate will build out a team to provide further support to the office, complementing his/her own specific focus and expertise. • High-level mastery of techniques for business planning, research, project and program management, process improvement, and design and development. • Experience leading a substantial group of talented and motivated professionals, ideally in a consulting context. • Experienced and adept at making senior-level presentations and interfacing effectively with senior leadership teams and boards of directors. Educational Background • An undergraduate degreein business, economics, finance, engineering, or another analytical or quantitative disciple from a well-respected school. Ideally, a graduate degree such as a Master of Business Administration.
