About this role
THE PART-TIMER WILL BE ENGAGED ON A 6-MONTH BASIS. We are seeking a proactive and reliable Part-Time Outreach, Social Media & Programmes Assistant to support museum outreach initiatives, social media content development, merchandise-related tasks, and public programmes at the Singapore Navy Museum. You will assist with ideation, content support, and execution of activations, contributing to engaging and meaningful museum experiences. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Assist in social media content ideation and planning 2. Support creation of simple social media content (photos, short videos, captions, basic edits) 3. Assist in documenting programmes and events for social media use 4. Support merchandise-related tasks (packing, sorting, tagging, stock checks, simple tracking) 5. Assist with preparation of materials for outreach programmes and activations 6. Assist with event and programme set-up, operations, and tear-down 7. Provide general logistical and administrative support 8. Any other duties assigned by supervisor Job Requirements • Minimum Higher Nitec qualification or above • Interest in social media, content creation, or marketing • Friendly, responsible, and willing to learn • Comfortable interacting with the public • Able to work some weekends or event days • Basic communication skills in English • No prior experience required (OJT will be provided) • Familiar with platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook • Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud & Canva • Basic photography / videography skills
