About this role
We are seeking a dedicated Pastry Assistant to support our pastry chef in the preparation and production of high-quality French pastries. The role involves assisting in the creation of items such as croissants, tarts, éclairs, and other classic pastries while ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion according to standard recipes. The Pastry Assistant will also support basic preparation for selected savory items when required. Key Responsibilities: • Assist the Chef with the preparation and production of French pastries and baked goods • Support basic preparation of selected savory items and ingredients as needed • Follow proper food handling and hygiene practices in accordance with NEA standards • Ensure food items prepared and displayed meet the company’s quality and presentation standards • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry workstation Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, passionate about pastry, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
