About this role
Responsibilities: • Plan and implement individual and small group therapeutic play sessions based on identified needs • Conduct basic assessment and contribute to case formulation, with guidance where needed • Support intervention planning using play-based approaches • Adapt play sessions for children with: Emotional and behavioural needs, Developmental differences, Emerging medical-related anxieties • Provide basic feedback and strategies to caregivers • Maintain accurate and timely session records • Implement existing therapeutic play programmes Requirements: • Degree in Psychology / Counselling / Social Work / Early Childhood or related field • Formal or in-progress training in play therapy / therapeutic play • Typically 1–3 years of relevant experience working with children • Warm, patient, and able to build rapport with children • Developing skills in empathy, attunement, and observation • Willingness to learn and receive feedback • Basic understanding of how children communicate through play • Able to work collaboratively within a team
