About this role
Key Responsibilities • Provide advice and consultation for interpretation of procurement policies and procedures to end-users • Manage purchasing cycle from invitation to quotation, evaluation of quotes, contract establishment, purchase orders and payment in accordance to the relevant IM policies • Support contract management and supplier performance management • Prepare periodic reports related to procurement • Maintain and evaluate lists of current and prospective vendors/contractors/suppliers • Manage suppliers' delivery of goods/services • Analyze the procurement requirements and selects the most appropriate procurement methods based on interpretation and assessment of established policies, practices and experience • Negotiate with suppliers to meet quality, delivery, cost and delivery objectives • Work closely with all other departments to improve purchasing procedures and contribute towards effective cost management • Administer GeBIZ-related requests and procedures across the procurement lifecycle; support relevant requests and clarifications • Any other duties assigned by the Reporting Officer Requirements • Diploma in related discipline, minimum GCE ’O’ level • Prior procurement experience in an educational institution would be an advantage • Hands-on knowledge on GeBiz • Effective interpersonal skills with good command of English • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
