Job Overview The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the installation of medical devices at various OR, ICU, CSSD and other healthcare project sites. This role requires technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties • Responsible for overall planning and implementation to ensure timely delivery and meet the customer's requirements. • Coordinate with site supervisors and project managers to ensure project alignment. • Attend project meetings with the customer, main contractor and other parties. • Prepare the monthly project documents: project progress report, minutes of meeting. • Collate the necessary project documents: scope of works, project timeline, method of statement, risk assessment, OMM and material for submission. • Work with company design engineer to prepare the project drawings for submission (equipment setting out, utility requirement, equipment elevation views…). • Coordination of the company internal resources(project, service, logistics…) and external parties (sub-contractors, main contract) to ensure smooth project implementation. • Conduct site surveys, technical assessments and feasibility studies. • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary. • Provide engineering expertise, solve technical problems. • Coordinate inspection and submit necessary documents for inspection. • Prepare inspection report after inspection. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards and company installation requirements. • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during installation. • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Company and Line Manager. Minimum Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field. • Diploma in Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in Healthcare Industries. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • WSQ Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry -WSHMCI (Formerly known as WSQ SCWWSH, MOM BCSS). • WSQ Manage Work At Height (MWAH). • Experience in site supervision, preferably in the medical device industry. • Good interpersonal and organizational skills. • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency & knowledge in project management software and tools. • Ability to read CAD drawings and line diagrams. • Personal and social attributes which tend to be innate or acquired demonstrate the capability to perform the job responsibilities. Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions • Field-based position with frequent presence in Hospitals sector requiring strict adherence to hospital infection control and safety policies. • Physical requirements such as handling, lifting and replacement of parts, must observe ergonomic and safety-based practices. • Must comply with all company environment, health and safety policies, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment when required. • May work extended hours during peak business cycles. • Travel requirements: occasional.
