Purchasing Executive — Electronics ManufacturingWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Executive to manage the full procurement cycle for an electronics manufacturing operation. The role covers supplier sourcing, price negotiation, purchase order management, inventory planning, cost control, supplier coordination, and on-time delivery support. The ideal candidate should be commercially aware, organised, analytical, and able to work closely with suppliers, production, finance, and internal stakeholders to ensure materials are purchased efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with operational requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesSourcing & Supplier Negotiation• Source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers to support production and business requirements. • Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial terms with suppliers. • Identify cost-saving opportunities and support procurement cost-reduction initiatives. • Provide guidance on sourcing, supplier selection, and procurement processes. Purchasing & Supplier Management• Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, from supplier selection to purchase order issuance and delivery follow-up. • Issue purchase orders accurately and ensure timely communication with suppliers. • Follow up on order confirmations, delivery schedules, shortages, and supplier commitments. • Resolve supplier-related issues, including pricing discrepancies, delivery delays, quality concerns, and documentation gaps. • Maintain strong supplier relationships while protecting the company’s commercial interests. Inventory & Forecasting• Monitor inventory levels to ensure material availability for production. • Work with internal teams to forecast purchasing needs based on production plans, demand changes, and stock movement. • Support stock optimisation to reduce excess inventory, shortages, and urgent purchasing risks. • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and planning teams to ensure smooth material flow. Cost Control & Reporting• Track procurement costs and support management reporting on purchasing performance. • Prepare supplier comparison reports, quotation summaries, cost-saving reports, and purchasing analysis. • Ensure purchasing activities comply with company cost-control policies and approval procedures. • Support continuous improvement in procurement efficiency, supplier performance, and reporting accuracy. Compliance & Administrative Support• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and audit requirements. • Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier documents, quotations, contracts, and purchase order files. • Support internal and external audits where required. • Assist with ad-hoc procurement, administrative, and operational tasks as assigned. Requirements• Relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in electronics manufacturing or a related industry. • Good understanding of supplier sourcing, purchase order processing, quotation review, contract terms, invoicing, and negotiation. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and basic data management tools. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cost-control mindset. • Good communication and supplier-management skills. • Able to multitask, prioritise workload, and follow up closely on deadlines. • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. • Able to work independently while coordinating effectively with internal teams. Preferred Attributes• Experience handling electronic components, mechanical parts, cables, harnesses, or manufacturing consumables. • Familiarity with ERP, inventory systems, or procurement tracking tools. • Ability to prepare supplier comparison reports and management summaries. • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and urgency in resolving procurement issues.
