Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Regas / Cargo & Machinery Superintendent to support FSRU and Powership operations, with strong expertise in LNG cargo handling, regasification systems, high‑pressure steam plants, and power management systems. The role will be involved in FSRU conversion projects, machinery upgrades, regas integration, commissioning and operational readiness, working closely with shipyard teams, OEMs, Class, EPC contractors and vessel crew. This position requires extended presence at shipyard and/or offshore locations during project and commissioning phases. Key Responsibilities• Supervise regasification, LNG cargo and machinery systems during FSRU and Powership operations. • Support FSRU conversion projects, including installation, integration and commissioning of regas modules and machinery upgrades. • Coordinate and supervise modifications to high‑pressure steam plants, steam turbines, generators and auxiliary systems. • Provide technical support for high‑pressure steam systems (60 bar and above), generators and power management systems. • Monitor and manage power (kW) demand and load balancing between FSRU and Powership. • Support BOG (Boil‑Off Gas) handling and gas send‑out operations as per Powership demand. • Review and provide operational input to P&IDs, process flow diagrams, equipment specifications and power management logic. • Participate in risk assessments, technical safety reviews and operational readiness activities. • Coordinate with shipyards, OEMs, EPC contractors, Class societies and marine consultants. • Supervise contractors during cargo and machinery space modification works. • Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) when required. • Support commissioning, performance testing and readiness planning for handover to operations. • Prepare and review operating procedures, power management limits, and maintenance strategies. • Assist in training and technical handover to ship managers and vessel crew. • Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State and international standards (IGC Code, IGF Code, SIGTTO guidelines). • Support vessels during statutory inspections, audits and gas trials. Requirements• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Valid Class IV Certificate of Competency. • Minimum 10 years of experience on LNG vessels with steam propulsion and high‑pressure boilers. • Experience sailing as Cargo Engineer / Gas Engineer on LNG vessels. • Hands‑on experience with: • LNG cargo operations (cool‑down, loading, discharging, STS) • High‑pressure steam boilers (40–60 bar and above) • Steam turbines and generators • Power (kW) management and load sharing • Experience on Moss and/or Membrane type LNG vessels. • Proven dry‑docking and retrofit installation experience. • Strong troubleshooting skills across cargo, machinery and power systems.
