The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Nanyang Technological University is a leading school for Sustainable Built Environment. It has over 60 faculty members and more than 1,500 students and is rapidly expanding its range of education and research activities. We are looking for a Project Officer to develop intelligent detection and picking methods of extracting weak yet coherent signals from 2D acoustic or seismic recordings. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and apply innovative 2D seismic phase picking methods • Extract seismic phases for enhancing practical findings • Publish high-impact research articles in leading international journals • Assist in the preparation and development of competitive research proposals • Support the supervision and mentoring of undergraduate students Job Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in exploration seismology, applied geophysics, or related field • At least 2 years of relevant experience in geophysical signal processing • Familiarity with related literature and software • Good written and oral communication skills • Entry level candidates are welcome to apply We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
