Research Assistant (Translational Pharmacology) (Internship)

Chugai Pharmabody Research Pte. Ltd.(“CPR”) was established in Singapore as a wholly-owned subsidiary of ChugaiPharmaceutical Co., Ltd (Chugai), a member of Roche group, in January 2012 andstarted operations on July 2, 2012. Located at Biopolis in Singapore, it aims to generate new antibody drugs based on Chugai’sproprietary antibody engineering technologies, such as recycling antibody®,sweeping antibody®, bispecific antibody, various Fc engineered antibodies, andother new antibody engineering technologies that are under development. Research Assistant (Internship)–Translational Pharmacology Unit Focus: Animal Husbandry (50%) | Research Support (50%) (RCULA certification preferred / to be obtained during internship) Role Overview This Research Assistant Internship is designed for students seeking foundational exposure to preclinical research and laboratory animal science within a regulated research environment. The intern will be embedded within the Animal Facility (AF), where animal husbandry and facility operations serve as a learning platform to understand how high‑quality animal care underpins reproducible in vivo research. Under close supervision, the intern will be introduced to basic in vivo research support activities, documentation practices, and compliance requirements. Given the short internship duration, this role places emphasis on learning, observation, and assisted execution rather than independent or advanced experimental work, while providing hands‑on exposure to animal facility operations, animal welfare practices, and preclinical research support. Job Scope: • Support daily animal care, welfare observations, and basic facility operations under guidance. • Maintain accurate husbandry, task, and basic inventory records. • Observe and assist in routine in vivo research procedures under supervision. • Provide preparatory and post‑procedure support for ongoing studies, appropriate to training level. • Learn how study protocols, documentation, and facility operations support preclinical research. Requirements • Interest in laboratory animal care, biomedical research, or life sciences • Willingness to perform hands‑on husbandry and cleaning tasks • Ability to follow SOPs and maintain accurate records • Good teamwork and communication skills. • Responsible, detail‑oriented, and safety‑conscious • Comfortable working with animals (mice and rabbits) Preferred Attributes • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, or related fields. • RCULA certification (or willingness to obtain during internship) • Prior exposure to animal facilities or laboratory environments • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of curiosity and critical thinking.
