Research Associate (NIE-CRPP)

The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Associate on a 6-month contract at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy & Practice. Project Title: Nurturing healthy ageing and well-being of middle-aged and older adults Project Introduction: Nurturing healthy ageing and well-being of our Singaporeans is essential for the future of skills, work and economy, given that Singapore’s greatest asset is its human resources. The key goals of this research are to nurture our citizens with physical, cognitive and socioemotional skills, and to facilitate the individual healthy ageing of Singaporeans so that they can contribute to our economy and society. This research aimed to identify relevant sport-based programmes to promote middle-aged and older adults’ active engagement and healthy ageing. Applicants with interest in doing flexible research work, collecting data and conducting data analysis are invited to apply. This position is based on a part-time workload (50%) and it is renewable. Requirements: • Master’s in Education/Psychology • Strong interest in adult learning and/or gerontology-related research • Good organizational and written communication skills Responsibilities: • Conduct literature review • Manage data collection and analyses • Contribute to the writing of research papers and reports • Assist in administrative work and other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator Application Applicants (external and internal) will apply via Workday.
