Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will work with on under a project on . The main responsibilities of the position include: 1. Carry out biochemistry and cell biology-related experiments and bioinformatics work for associated omics. 2. Facilitate grant application. 3. Aid and support to junior PhD students in their research projects, particularly the bioinformatics part. 4. Lead a small group of PhD working on RNA modification in gene regulation. 5. Report duty to PI. Qualifications• Qualifications: The candidate shall obtain PhD or submit PhD thesis in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology or related disciplines. • Skills: Proficient in a wide range of bench techniques relevant to biochemistry, molecular biology, chemical biology, genetics, and cell biology. Skills include, but are not limited to: chemical synthesis, nucleic acid extraction and purification, molecular cloning, plasmid preparation, PCR and RT-qPCR, site-directed mutagenesis, restriction enzyme digestion, ligation, gel electrophoresis (agarose and SDS-PAGE), immunoblotting (Western blot), immunoprecipitation, ELISA, cell culture (bacterial, yeast, and mammalian), cell transfection and transduction, CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing, Sanger and next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation, immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, protein expression and purification, enzyme assays, and spectrophotometric analysis. Has extensive experience in bioinformatics. • Experience: Have published / submitted peer-reviewed papers as the first author in high-impact journals.
