Resident Technical Officer (M&E)

Responsibilities • Assist Consultants/ Professional Engineers (M&E) / Clients in the supervision and quality assurance of construction works on site; • Provide standing supervision as and when required by the Consultants / Clients; • Ensure all installation methods and material used are in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications; • Liaise and close coordination with RE and RTO of other disciplines; • Liaise with the contractors/ sub-contractors in the coordination of site works; • Highlight discrepancies, resolve site M&E issues and monitor site progress; • Feedback site progress and irregularities to Consultants / Clients; • Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning; • Check as-built drawings to tally with site installation; • Ensure the contractors maintain work safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the site; • Document site records, ie. Inspection records, T&C records, site meetings etc. Requirements • ITE/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution and registered with IES / ACES as a Resident Technical Officer • Minimum 5-8 years of M&E work experience as a Resident Technical Officer • Conversant in local construction practices in air-conditioning, electrical, ELV, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary services, BMS • Good co-ordination skills • Good analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills. • Self-motivated, proactive and team player
