Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer (6-Month Contract) Salary: $6,000 – $9,000/month Working Hours: 42 hours/week (Mon–Fri) Start Date: 1 June 2026 Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineering professional to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and future-ready data platforms. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy shaping data strategy, driving architectural decisions, and influencing engineering best practices across teams. Requirements: • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related fields • 5–10 years of experience in data engineering, cloud, or platform engineering • Strong expertise in data architecture, system design, and scalable data solutions • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and distributed data ecosystems (e.g. Spark, Hadoop) • Proficiency in Python and SQL (for design oversight and technical guidance) • Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow / Azure Data Factory) and DevOps practices (Docker, Git, Terraform) • Exposure to modern data platforms (Databricks / Snowflake / Denodo) • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks • Proven stakeholder management and communication skills • Experience mentoring teams and guiding technical direction Key Responsibilities: • Lead data engineering strategy and define architecture blueprints aligned with business objectives • Drive the design of scalable data platforms and high-performing data pipelines • Translate complex business requirements into robust, future-proof data solutions • Oversee implementation of secure, cloud-based data infrastructure and access frameworks • Establish standards for data modelling, metadata management, and data governance • Guide teams across end-to-end delivery (from discovery to implementation) • Evaluate and recommend data platform solutions to support evolving needs, including AI use cases • Champion engineering excellence and adoption of modern data practices across teams By submitting your resume and/or personal data, you hereby consent to Seacare Manpower Services Pte Ltd collecting, using, and disclosing such information to our clients and business partners strictly for the purposes of assessing your suitability for employment opportunities and for the provision of related recruitment and placement services.
