Senior System Engineer – Nokia Optics & IP Project • Designed, developed, and maintained system-level automation solutions using Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and Shell scripting to streamline infrastructure management and reduce manual intervention. • Built and managed Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks to support scalable and consistent enterprise environments. • Performed end-to-end system administration activities, including installation, configuration, patch management, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and break-fix support across Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Unix platforms. • Administered and monitored applications hosted within AWS cloud environments, ensuring system availability, performance, and security compliance. • Utilized diagnostic and monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Amazon Detective, Red Hat sosreport, SUN Explorer, and ILOM logs to identify root causes and implement permanent resolutions for technical issues. • Developed and maintained CI/CD pipelines, incorporating Docker containerization, automated testing, Kubernetes rolling updates, and canary deployment strategies. • Optimized Linux and Unix operating system performance through system tuning, resource allocation, and capacity management. • Led technical teams by providing mentorship, technical guidance, and oversight on infrastructure-related initiatives. • Governed Change Management processes through the preparation, review, and approval of Methods of Procedure (MOPs), ensuring compliance with operational standards. • Collaborated closely with security, network, and application teams to ensure seamless service delivery and infrastructure reliability. • Responded to critical incidents, conducted root cause analysis, prepared technical reports, and ensured adherence to organizational processes and service level agreements (SLAs). Requirement: • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering • 8 years of experience in the followings: • Strong experience in Linux/Unix (RHEL) system administration in enterprise environments • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud operations and administration • Proficient in automation and scripting: Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Shell • Solid understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and implementation • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes • Experience in system monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, logs, diagnostic tools) • Strong background in patch management, system installation, configuration, and performance tuning • Experience in incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and break-fix support • Familiarity with change management processes and MOP documentation • Ability to collaborate with security, network, and application teams • Strong technical leadership and mentorship capabilities • Experience working in SLA-driven production environments Sherry Tan | R23116214 | 05C345I
