About this role
• Gather business and/or application requirements on the infrastructure to plan, design, install, test & implement systems in accordance with the specifications & service level. • Networking Protocols, Network Configuration and Management, Routing and Switching, Subnetting and IP Addressing, Network Security, Network Troubleshooting, Network Monitoring and Management Tools • Aligned or enhanced ITSM/ITIL methodologies in daily operations e.g. Change, Incident, problem, release management & CMDB. • Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & service level availability. • Respond promptly to incident, root cause analysis & provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties. • Implement service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business. • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks. • Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations. • Able to lead a team of network engineers (size). Requirements • Min 8 years of experience in Network Operation • Min Degree in IT Engineering or other related fields • CCNA Cert Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot IP Backbone and Data Center networks using network monitoring and log analysis tools such as Zabbix, Cacti, and Splunk to ensure high network availability and performance. • Perform troubleshooting and operational support for routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, VLANs, ACLs, AAA, subnetting, and IP addressing; maintain accurate inventory records for routers, switches, OS versions, line cards, and SFP modules. • Implement, upgrade, and optimize enterprise and backbone network infrastructure including Cisco IOS/IOS-XR upgrades, routing protocol configurations, route updates, firewall administration, and switching technologies across Data Center and IP Backbone environments. • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including network diagrams, Method of Procedure (MOP), disaster recovery plans, backup/restore procedures, change management records, and operational documentation aligned with ITSM/ITIL best practices. • Lead and support network engineering operations by managing incidents, performing root cause analysis, implementing preventive and corrective actions, gathering infrastructure and application requirements, and administering next-generation firewalls such as Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet while ensuring service availability and SLA compliance.
