Role Overview As a Senior Planner / Senior Planning Engineer, you will lead the planning and scheduling functions across major EPCM construction projects. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules using Primavera P6 and CPM techniques, while also providing strategic input into methodologies, risk management, and claims assessment. Your role will ensure accurate progress tracking, proactive risk mitigation, and timely reporting, contributing to the successful delivery of complex projects. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Lead the development of integrated project bid schedules and associated basis documentation for full EPCM project life cycles. • Develop construction schedules, programmes, and Planning Reports in accordance with project requirements. • Produce cost and resource-loaded CPM schedules and apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles. • Report project progress at regular intervals against contract and delivery programmes; prepare weekly dashboards highlighting key issues. • Chair weekly planning meetings to coordinate programmes, progress updates, delay records, and forthcoming milestones. • Conduct Quantitative Schedule Risk Assessments (QSRA) to support active risk management. • Record as-built production rates and delays to provide benchmarking for future projects. • Coordinate 4D BIM models with the BIM Coordinator to enhance schedule communication and completeness. • Assess and record time impacts of delays through Time Impact Analysis and event analysis. • Systematically review submitted claims and programmes, advising on validity and compliance with recognized Extension of Time (EOT) methodologies. • Provide experience-based solutions and strategic schedule option assessments for project delivery. • Establish and maintain project risk registers to determine contingency allowances and target risk mitigation. • Lead project teams in preparation of Project Planning & Status Reports. Knowledge, Skills & Experience • Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, supported by extensive experience in planning and programming roles on major construction projects. • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, CPM techniques, QSRA, EVM, and BIM integration. • 7+ years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling; proven track record in leading planning functions on large-scale EPCM projects. • Promoting a positive team environment and a collaborative approach to problem solving. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, are central to the role.
