Senior VMS Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cyber Security Engineer specializing in Vulnerability Management to join our professional services team. As a Cyber Security Engineer (VMS), you will play a critical role in protecting our clients' environment and ensuring the security of their IT systems. You will be responsible for implementing and managing Vulnerability Management systems, conducting threat assessments as well as providing expertise in mitigating findings reported by the VMS. You will not be limited to VMS solutions and will be trained in other security solutions as required. Responsibilities: • Deploy and maintain VMS solutions to safeguard clients' IT systems. • Perform regular vulnerability scanning and assessments of clients' IT systems against existing security policies, standards and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. • Configure and manage VMS technologies, such as Tenable VMS and Nessus scanner. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure configurations and deployment of new devices and applications. • Stay updated with the latest vulnerabilities and industry trends and proactively recommend and implement appropriate countermeasures. • Provide technical guidance and support to the incident response team during security incidents and investigations. • Document VMS configurations, processes and procedures. • Train and be certified in other security solutions as required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field. • Familiarity with managing/implementing Vulnerability management platforms and tools at enterprise level. • Understanding of operating systems and their security features. • Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (NIST, CIS, OWASP, CVE) and their application for vulnerability management. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve endpoint security issues. • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, cross-functional teams and stakeholders. • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Required experience and certifications: • At least 3 years managed services/SI experience of vulnerability management security products • Certification for the following security scope (Any one of them) • • CompTIA PenTest+ • • GIAC Enterprise Vulnerability Assessor • • OffSec Certified Professional • Good to have certifications/knowledge: • Tenable Certified Vulnerability Management Specialist • Rapid7 InsightVM Certified Specialist
