As a valued member of the service team at IPG Hospitality's Indian restaurant, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and memorable dining experience for our guests. As a Service Crew member, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant. We have two restaurants in Singapore. Akasa at 79 Robinson Road CapitaSky and Indus Folk at 8A Marina Boulevard. Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, assist with seating, and provide menus promptly. Take and accurately record food and beverage orders, catering to any special requests or dietary restrictions. Ensure prompt and attentive service throughout the dining experience. Table Maintenance: Set up and maintain clean and organized dining tables, ensuring they are properly set according to restaurant standards. Clear tables efficiently, removing used dishes and utensils promptly. Product Knowledge: Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and pairings. Answer customer inquiries about menu items, offering recommendations when needed. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service. Communicate customer feedback and special requests to the kitchen and management. Up-selling and Promotion: Promote daily specials, promotions, and upsell additional menu items. Encourage guests to explore new dishes and beverages to enhance their dining experience. Payment Processing: Handle guest payments accurately, process transactions, and return change promptly. Collaborate with the cashier or point-of-sale system to close out checks efficiently. Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including dining tables, chairs, and service stations. Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards, including proper handwashing and personal cleanliness. Customer Feedback: Collect and relay customer feedback to the management team. Address customer concerns and issues promptly and professionally. Qualifications: Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Positive attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Willingness to learn and adapt to the restaurant's policies and procedures.
