Set Design Intern

You will assist the design team in creating physical environments for productions. You’ll help translate scripts into tangible sets that support storytelling, camera framing, and performance while learning the pace of a professional set. Key Responsibilities• Research & Mood: Assist in gathering visual references and building mood boards based on the director’s vision. • Drafting Support: Help update 3D models and basic technical drawings for construction teams. • Set Dressing: Assist the team in sourcing, organizing, and placing props and finishes to bring the narrative to life. • On-Set Assistance: Provide hands-on support during set builds, "the squeeze" (adjustments), and teardowns. • Coordination: Help maintain continuity and organize material samples for directors and lighting teams. Requirements• Education: Student or recent graduate in Production Design, Scenography, Architecture, or Interior Design. • Visual Skills: Basic ability to sketch and communicate spatial ideas quickly. • Software: Familiarity with SketchUp, Rhino, or AutoCAD, and the Adobe Suite. • Mindset: Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in fast-paced production environments.
